Assembly Systems and Assembly Equipment:

Primon Automazioni creates assembly systems and assembly stations - also called assembly benches.  These assembly machines are made in the following categories:

bulletAutomatic Assembly System
bulletSemi-Automatic Assembly Units
bulletManual Assembly Benches

An Automatic Assembly System is fully automated, where by the operators are used to fill the part hoppers on the machine, and the full assembly of the component is carried out automatically, assembled by the system.  These automatic assembly systems can be:

bulletSynchronous conveyor assembly systems / transfer assembly line
bulletRotary table assembly systems
bulletPallet assembly systems / asynchronous pallet assembly systems

The synchronous assembly system combines the advantages of the rotary table assembly with the pallet line assembly system. This design with synchronous pallets allows to extend the machine lengthwise, for a high number of assembly stations, and to obtain a high speed of articulation from station to station. The major component of the assembly process is placed into a pallet or fixture that is mounted to a chain style conveyor and the conveyor is indexed from station to station at a predetermined cycle.

Rotary table assembly systems allow to limit the overall dimensions of the machine if the assembly operations to be carried out do not exceed16. Electromechanical cam rotary tables allow for quick accelerations and decelerations during the position changes, and are so consistent that they do not normally require the stopping of the parts in process.

The asynchronous pallet assembly line allows to assemble products made of numerous parts through the autonomous transfer of the pieces / carrier pallet,  where the different pieces are assembled in sequence and the required operations carried out.  The part loading  can be assigned to one or more operators who will work in complete safety and sufficiently far away from the stations with automatic movements. The pallet line assembly system can be with side by side or superposed transfers / sections depending on the number of stations required for autonomous assembly operations.

Semi-Automatic Assembly Systems utilize the concept of manual intervention or part loading.  In a semi automatic assembly system the operator may place the specific components onto fixtures for proper positioning, and the components are taken automatically from the holders and assembled automatically.  A semi-automatic assembly system is usually a rotary table design, but can be nearly any type of automation.

Manual Assembly Benches are used mainly for the purpose of consistency to assembly and operator ease.  Special fixtures are uses to hold and / or rotate the components as required.  Any tooling or torquing devices are affixed to the bench for easy access and operation, and are programmed or adjusted to affect their operation (such as tightening) to a pre-defined and controlled parameter.
